About Us
We are Christians who care about businesses and the business people who lead, manage and work within them.
The Crosslink Ministries Team has come together through our belief in the need for a Counter-Culture in business. A Counter-Culture made up of ethical business practice, quality service and excellent treatment of customers and staff. We strongly believe that Christian values delivered and developed in the marketplace can and will bring about this much needed Counter-Culture. We believe this because we have been Christians for a number of years and have seen these principles work in our own lives. Each of us realise that we can make a greater impact together than we can on our own.
This is the central, and we believe unique, aspect of Crosslink Ministries and the reason we chose the name and the logo. Christian business people linked to each other through “The Cross” to provide service that the public will appreciate and which will honour God. As Christians together in business our impact on the marketplace and in producing a Counter-Culture will be far greater than on our own. An additional dimension to this “Connectedness” is that in Crosslink we have an ethical business network which can be supported by a full package of training and publications designed and aligned to Christian principles to make a complete and linked package.
Four pillars support Crosslink Ministries and in turn the Counter-Culture we are seeking to create. These are: Vision, Unity, Communication and Commitment.
Vision
Our vision is to create a family of business people in a Christian business network who, out of real relationship, are genuinely committed to caring for each other at a business AND a personal level. A family committed to sharing expertise and working to the highest ethical standards whilst promoting our own and each others' businesses. We need you to really want to be part of a family. A family is a place where we can be real but where there is give and take; help given and help received.
Unity
This is a truly valuable commodity and requires people to work together toward a common vision. Working together is not easy as we all have different ideas and ways of working. It is these differences which cause personality clashes and division if we let them. As Christians in business we have an advantage. This advantage is that when we accept that God made each of us unique, we can accept that He made us the way He wanted to. This being the truth we are able to not just tolerate, but really value and respect each other as God wants us to.
Communication
A real and genuine willingness to share our God-given gifting, natural abilities and expertise with others, to glorify God in the marketplace. Contacting each other. Forming collaborative initiatives. Taking an interest in others and maintaining contact.
Commitment
Actively helping others where we have something to contribute. Being an encouragement and support to others. Demonstrating that life is not all about ourselves and our businesses, but about Him and His business. A commitment to meeting together and to Godly principles and values. ‘Walking the talk’ in our business and our private lives.
Why is Crosslink Ministries Ltd a company and not a charity? The answer is because we are not financially independent and need to earn a living. We want to do this in a way that releases our time, talents and treasure to influence the business world and advance the kingdom of God in the South West and beyond.
