Global English.

Global English is a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) Teacher Training organisation, specialising in internet based training of new English Language teachers. Started in 1997 and based in Exeter, UK, Global English has grown to be one of the most popular TESOL course providers worldwide and is run by partners Louisa Walsh and William Bradridge.

Louisa and William are Christians and actively seek to implement Christian principles and values in their day to day business lives. From 2009 the organisation started to donate 10% of all Global English profits to help sponsor teachers at Kira Farm in Uganda, a project run by the Barnstaple based Amigos Charity. It is reassuring for our new trainees to know that when they purchase a Global English course they are helping to educate young Ugandans and to improve Uganda’s future.

Global English has also launched 2 volunteer teaching programmes in Uganda - giving TESOL volunteers the chance to educate and inspire the next generation directly. It is the organisation aim to continue supporting the work of Amigos throughout 2010 and beyond.
