Business Network

Our Christian principled Business Network is at the centre of, and can be the driving force for, what we are trying to achieve at Crosslink Ministries which is:-

Our Vision -

"To create a family of business people in a Christian business network, who, out of real relationship, are genuinely committed to caring for each other at a business AND a personal level. A family committed to sharing expertise, working to the highest ethical standards whilst promoting our own and each others' businesses."

Counter-Culture -

We want to create a genuine family of business people to champion a Counter-Culture to some of the current negative business practices, and work to Godly principles and in doing so to show that God’s Word is effective in the marketplace. To demonstrate that it is possible to be profitable whilst working to Godly ethical principles. Also to show that we can, through this Counter-Culture, attract others to God through business.

Trust -

Many people are wary about the marketplace because they have heard of or experienced personally, poor service and/or goods and so feel they have been “ripped off” by people who do not really care. As a result of these experiences and others they have heard of, they feel that they cannot trust a business to deliver good products and service. We at Crosslink Ministries believe that this culture of poor service and the mistrust which it generates can and should be overcome by a Counter-Culture based on trust established through Christian principles, values and ethics.

Character -

We realise that this Counter-Culture requires us all to really aspire and try to at least match, the best standards of customer service and also care for our staff, and to attain greater heights (soar like eagles!). We realise that this also means that as Christian business people we cannot live compartmentalised lifestyles and that the remaining areas of our lives need to display Godly character as well. Does this mean we must all be perfect? The answer is no; all we have to do is try to reflect Jesus into the marketplace. The marketplace where we make our living and the place where we have real and often unique opportunity to meet others and to show them the love God has for them.

Ethics -

This is why the network is so important because together we can and will make a much greater impact than we ever could on our own towards achieving this Counter-Culture. That is also why we have identified a simple Code of Ethics which we feel represent the minimum standards that others can and should be able to expect from us as Christians in business and which anyone wanting to be part of the Crosslink Ministries Business Network will want to sign up to, and most likely exceed.

Relationship -

We want to see real, open, accountable and supportive relationships develop amongst Christian business people. Barrie and Frank at Crosslink Ministries both know of a Christian who had been a businessman for a long time and who had a large and varied business. We were both surprised to hear he had become bankrupt a while ago. We later heard from a Christian friend of his who was also a businessman that he felt this could all have been avoided if they had been more open and accountable to each other. We can all learn and benefit from this.

Commerce -

We believe that the Business Network, as well as building real relationships can also help to provide commercial benefits. We as Christians in business all need to make a profit, and this can benefit the Kingdom of God as well as ourselves. We see that there are real commercial benefits of the network as we provide a marketing opportunity as part of each event. You may also discover the opportunity for potential collaborative ventures and there is a real chance to share your expertise and advice with others and also to receive it. We can also provide Training, Conferences and Seminars for you, your business and if you wish your church. All of these will adhere to the Code of Ethics and will not conflict with Christian principles because they are based on them.

Your Help -

Is both wanted and appreciated as a thriving business network benefits us all so please do come and be part and also invite others who you feel might benefit, including your customers. Your help in booking in advance would also be really appreciated but the greatest help of all is in helping others in the network and the wider business community to see that Christian principles really can and do work in the marketplace.
